CIEE Research Station Bonaire is located on Kaya Gobernador Debrot 21, about 3/4 of a mile from the center of Kralendijk. We’re a two minute walk from the sea and the beautiful coral reef in front of Yellow Submarine dive shop.

Porch and kitchen area
There is a seaside promenade that leads to town and provides a gorgeous view of the ocean, Klein Bonaire, and the sailing yachts that are moored just offshore. Our facilities include a large main building with several outbuildings.

Clothes lines
In the back of the residence building you'll find a large semi covered area which is used for drying dive gear and clothes. There are outside showers and a wash tank for dive gear.

Bike rack
Most students purchase a bicycle so they can get around Bonaire. The bikes are usually sold to the next lot of students coming to Bonaire so if you'd like to buy one let us know!

Dive locker
The dive locker is where students store their dive gear. It locks and has an alarm system for extra security.
CIEE dive truck and CIEE van
The divetruck and the van always have an oxygen kit and a first aid kit on board. The van is used for the on land trips as it provides more shelter from the sun.

Microscope and Study corners
There are six bedrooms and bathrooms, a large kitchen, classroom, living room, TV/lounge, dive gear storage room, and an outdoor working or eating area. For more information visit the lodging page.
The Station is equipped with wireless internet, printers, fax/copy machines, and a main telephone for local calls.

Tv area and Yellow Submarine
CIEE Research Station Bonaire is also available to visiting scientists and faculty-led groups. Please contact us if you would like to know more about our facilities and our rates.
